Year 4 Science
As part of our Science unit, the children in year 4 have been learning about different classifications of animals and their habitats. Last week we looked at vertebrates, which includes; mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds and fish. This week we looked at invertebrates and discussed how they do not have a backbone or a skeleton made from bones.
We then went into the outdoor environment to search for some of these invertebrates. We had to look under logs, in the dirt, under leaves and in the tall grass. The children in Cherry class found many invertebrates including; slugs, worms, spiders, snails, woodlouse's and much more!
