Fledglings

Hello Fledglings families

We would like to welcome all our new families and those who are returning to Sparrow Farm to continue their learning journey.

In Fledglings, we will be supporting the children in settling in so that they feel safe and secure to explore all our areas of learning. At Sparrow Farm, we value children’s happiness and emotional wellbeing, and embody a culture of kindness, friendship and thoughtfulness. We will be supporting the children in demonstrating our core values by Building relationships, being Bold, Ambitious and Curious.

The children will be getting to know our daily routines through visual aids and songs. We kindly ask all parents to ensure that they are on time for their sessions so that we can best support them as they settle in. Remember to bring water bottle and spare clothes, which are clearly labelled!

We will be developing the children’s learning through play-based experiences around our core text books using the Early Year’s Curriculum.

The prime areas of learning are:

• Personal, Social and Emotional Developing (PSED)
• Communication and Language
• Physical Development

The specific areas of learning are:

• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding of the World
• Expressive Arts and Design

Experiences in early years have a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe, and happy childhood is important in its own right. Good parenting and high-quality early learning provide the foundation children need to fulfil their potential
